Fighting an invisible enemy is a daily event.

Keeping the dark cloud of depression at bay

The dark cloud of depression is always near
A constant battle that I and many endure each day

Some days are more manageable than others
Fighting an invisible enemy evoking fear

Feelings of guilt darken the cloud
Feeling alone amongst the crowd

Trying to be strong and gain a bright perspective on life

Reflecting only on the positives
As we all know there are many
Life is too short to feel this way

Writing down our thoughts highlights our journey

We have managed to keep the dark cloud at bay
Feeling positive about our life and more than ready to greet a new day

Thank you for reading: The dark cloud of depression

I sincerely hope there is nothing but sunshine in your
day.

Stay well and happy, Stuart

Hello Stuart,

It takes courage to put these in words...but you did it and it has blessed us. I never knew depression could be so difficult, but we are here for you and I will be praying for you, dear friend.

Stuart, you captured the inner darkness of keeping depression at bay..and those who suffer from it know that struggle. Sadly, it affects everyone around the one who is depressed and knowing what to do is difficult .... so, keep writing and helping others. lindalaw

As usual, beautiful writing Stuart, I shared my wifes depression with her & it is very hard for a partner let alone the sufferer, my heart goes out to all those who have this affliction.
Thank you for contacting my friend Letizia, she has & is putting a lot of work into helping writers on the website, Book Creators Circle.
Your Aussie friend
Dave.
