| Yes, you are right, poetry frees the thoughts that sometimes weigh us down, and that can be dangerous for some. Thanks for this, there are many out there who need to remember this. |

Excellent advice, Stuart. I think though, people who might need the most help, haven't the will or the confidence to do as you suggest. You have to have hope, to show yourself; in the hope a hand will reach across space into yours. But the hopeless, they have no hope and they can't see their way there, so they never show themselves.

Hello Dear Friend Stuart-
How honestly you have expressed what is in your heart and it is really a "heart opener" for all of us who are afraid to reach out for
fear of ridicule and rejection. But reaching out also brings real
friends and you have found them here at the den, Stuart.
Praying for you always-

Stuart,
I feel this was written for my eyes. I tend to close myself off in a 'box' of my own at times, and so many, many times believing I don't count, that I don't matter. I have to really dig deep sometimes to find my self worth in this world. I was once an abused wife, verbally more than physically. Sometimes verbal abuse can be worse. During those horrible years I lost all my self esteem and self worth. Thank you for this poem, Stuart. I'll be tracking you and reading more of you.
Many blessings,
~Linda |

Hi Stuart, depression is a big problem.I think the reason why some people are closed books because of the fear that some family members and friends will look at them in a different way and be too judgemental.Thankfully not everyone in this world is like that and it is important for people to reach out and talk about their problems head on.This is a great poem that a person can take and use it to solve their own personal problems with the help of caring human beings who are open-minded.take care

Wow Stuart I think you have said it all. To keep things bottled up within ourselves only manifest other problems. Always better to face our demons head on and ultimately put them to rest with the aid of others, great writing and wonderful insight...
Be always safe,
