Christmas Unwrapped

People go on these spending sprees all over town ,until the shops are closing on Christmas Eve .

Christmas is not some materialistic wasteland measured by how many things you receive .

I could buy you perfume, chocolates and roses my love, I could buy you every love song around .

I could buy you diamonds and gold or even pearls from the sea ,
But you know darling what I’ve found .

If I were to buy you all of these things , the real meaning of Christmas
Just might somehow get lost .

So as precious as you are,
I think that I might just have to let it go and live with the cost .

It might sound dramatic but lets be realistic, We really don’t need things at Christmas time .

We need to find a love that’s richer than roses, sweeter than honey and as deep as a mine.

We need to understand love is older than time, but still as young as innocence can be.

Christmas is a fantastic experience,
And its all because you have this real love for me.

Beutifully written. This is what Christmas is supposed to be about.
