“Shacharis Musings"
In still morning’s darkness light little shines
when twilight lingers before the sun's rise …
Turn to Him before each day begins,
Behold His creation through angels’ eyes.
May your ways be pleasant, your choices free,
bound to Him by both hand and mind.
For devotion to service therein you’ll see.
of His Am Segula yourself will find.
Acts of kindness and words proclaim,
soaring majestically o’er ocean sand.
Praise the majesty of the Creator’s name,
acknowledge before Whom Man does stand.
Ancient prayers poured onto folios worn,
from pious ones’ utterances long blurred by tears.
Arise holy molochim in the early morn,
we pray each day our length of years.
Open your heart to Him Who hears,
May purity mark every word and deed.
Your portion awaits you at Heaven’s gate
A life's devotion to truth did succeed.
