Change of Seasons

This poem reflects the earth changes bringing about rebirth

Winter took a snow-swept stand
Painted white across the land
Hurled its fury, cold and sleet
And now tis time for it to sleep

Spring, gentle Queen, yet strong
Pokes up with buds and takes a stand
Sweeping the last of Winter's song
Flowers bloom with colors grand

Trees so long bare, sprout new leaves
Bees awaken within their hives
The lovely crocus, first to arrive
Followed by tulip bulbs buried deep

Spring, unlike all other seasons
Bursts forth for subtle reasons
Her purpose to restore life's birth
Procreating beauty throughout the earth

A writer's Journey

I don't know how I missed this before but it is still apt and timely and a fine ode to the new season. Thank you for sharing this gift, Micki. Love and best wishes to you,

Regis
