The pain of watching a young adult with different abilities reach for independence
|
Today,
there's swirling, twirling heartache
knowing you are alone in your experience
knowing you are too closed to open the next piece for help
knowing that without the ability to reach out
you won't reach safety.
God grant me the serenity
for the things I cannot leave to chance
but You can change and mold
Stand alongside as she struggles
Help her remove the chunks in her life
so that she may see a wholeness of spirit
so that she may loose the bondages
created by herself
Protect me from interfering
in her process
of becoming
who your have meant her to be.
Teach me to stand stubbornly still
Ready to embrace her when she returns
But not seek her as she runs toward the ruins
To trust that You are there
knowing more than I will every understand.

Deep thoughts, apprehensions, and uncertain emotions, "twirling, swirling heartache" - what every mother feels.
You prayers will guard her and create a shield, that is it's power.
