Sometimes when people are in pain, they feel all alone. When I felt that way, I found myself asking, "Do you love me?"
|
“Do You love me?” what a sad song to sing “Yes I do,” comes the Lord’s only answer “Did I not form all this world from nothing? Yet, see how doubt trots on at a canter.”
“Do You love me?” a platitude of strife “Yes, I do,” comes an trustworthy answer “Did I not make this world and all this life? Yet, disbelief spreads its ugly Cancer.”
“Do You love me?” is an unholy wrath. “Yes, I do, I come,” He answers readily. “Let angels lead you down my Holy path. I will walk with you to keep you sturdy.”
“Do You love me?” is a prick on the soul “Yes, I do,” His one and only reply. “This lack of love is not a Godly goal. Rejection comes with an odious sigh?”

"trots on at a canter"
Hmm.
This collection of poems sound like they were written by a 13 year old. |

Patricia,
You wrote me when you wrote this one...been feeling down. A beautiful, yet poignant write; well done.
And I second Karen: welcome back, you've been missed.

Sad write but so true. When people are hurting, nobody wants to listen to them complain about their ailments or pain. Trust me. I know. Very well done, Patty!
Nice to see you back; you've been missed!
(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :( |
