Those Who Love

I made this up after our minister used it among others in a sermon on Sunday. It is a Chaiku poem (four syllables in each line).

 Romans 8: 28

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

Those Who Love

Those who love Him
Surely, suffer
They know no hymn,
But grow tougher.

Those who love Him
Will have hard times
Future seems dim,
So they write rhymes.

Those who love God
Say pain is good
They walk in sod,
Without a hood.

Those who love God
They will find peace
They need no rod,
For love won’t cease.

Those who love God
Though they be gone
In their body,
Spirit lives on.
