This is an unpublished poem, a quasi-sonnet to accompany my other poem for people who aren't crazy about snow.

IT SNOWED AGAIN LAST NIGHT
Copyright 2008 -- 2009, by Terry P. Rizzuti

It snowed again last night,
That sneak, that creep.
It knows it’s not right
To come down in the night
While I sleep and can’t hear
Its soft footfall so deep.

It snowed again last night
And skipped spring into summer.
It knows I don’t like that,
The rat, what a bummer.

It snowed again last night,
But revenge will come soon
As the sun beats its path
Here by noon.

I love the snow here in Connecticut, but sometimes we get way too much of it, that we wait for the fierce ball of fire in the sky to melt it all away!

I love it...Moved South in 1977 to get away from Michigan winters now with global warming I appreciate snow again...blah did I say that! Welcome to the den and thank Georg for the heads up. The heat index today down here was over 106 degrees. It's 1:00am and it has cooled off/down to 81 . Let's count our blessings...I don't like snow.Peace and blessings. Mikii

I am familiar with April snow that causes the daffodils to bow to the ground and hide beneath it until the sun awakens them again. Thank you, Terry. Love and peace,

Your personal connection with the snow and it's skulky nature obviously comes from a life-long close relationship with winter's handiwork.

Well done and lot's of fun,

Terry
