We have a facility here, in Highlands County Florida that provides free health care for anyone whose income is 200% below the poverty level. I had the privilege of touring that facility this morning. My hat is off to the center and the fabulous Diana S. Furr, Executive Director. May God continue to bless you all and the work you are doing.

SAMARITAN’S TOUCH
Where do you turn
When you don’t know the way
Your heart is heavy
And you’re feeling sick today?
You turn to the Master
His hand be your guide
His servants are there
They’ll be at your side.
Your heart is troubled
Your body weak too
The people inside
Know what to do.
The Lord is their guide
They struggle to do
What’s best for your life
His plan to ensue.
Come to this house
There is refuge inside
A mission for all
The Lord will abide.
We thank you dear Father
For all you provide,
The care and the love
To all those inside.

Kathryn, I loved this. I work in mental health and we offer services for people who have severe mental illness and very low income. My hope is that we are half the people in your poem seem to be.I hope God abides with us as we do our work- I call it my ministry actually. Thank you for you wonderful poem for the people who come to the program you saw and the people working there. I wish they could see this poem. I bet they would really appreciate it.
With Love,
Cindy |
