Another poem that came to my while driving. Although the subject of this poem has been done ad infinitum we still are not really getting the message.

And So We Continue

And so the wind blows
And so the waves roll
And so we continue
And so the rivers flow
And so the tide goes
And so we continue
Moving through time
And speaking our lines
And so we continue

And so the birds fly
And so the insects die
And so we continue
And so babies cry
And so the lakes dry
And so we continue
Tasting each day
Spending our pay
And so we continue

And so the Earth spins
And so the Moon grins
And so we continue
And so bears are skinned
And sharks are definned
And so we continue
Steamrolling the land
Burning our brands
And so we continue

And so disease spreads
And so some aren’t fed
And so we continue
And so we don’t look ahead
And so we shake our heads
And so we continue
Imagining all is okay
And we can still play
And so we continue

And so the air grows thick
And so the hen lays no chick
And so we continue
And so crumbles the brick
And so cracks the stick
And so we continue
Turning a blind eye
While all else dies
And so we continue

And so the storms brew
And so there are coups
And so we continue
And so intolerance stews
Between Arabs and Jews
And so we continue
Trusting in our faith
Damning the wraith
And so we continue

And so the biosphere collapses
And so fails all the synapses
And so the planet continues
And so shifts continental masses
And so change still passes
And so the planet continues
Revolving around the sun
Not seen by anyone
And so the planet continues

And so the wind blows
And so the waves roll
And so it continues
And so the rivers flow
And so the tide goes
And so …

I like how your title and your form both reflect the "ever-revolving" as it relates both to the Earth and the incessant cycles of human behavior. You've also carefully demonstrated the link between the two. Your use of "and so" as it begins nearly every line grinds the reader in its redundancy into the "feeling" that you're trying to convey, which seems to me to be "when will there be change?" You're right, the message is important and there are many who do not hear nor will they. Yet, there are many who do hear and humanity seems to be undergoing a shift of consciousness toward a new and heightened awareness. Yes, it lies beneath all that is apparent - for now. But, I think you know that already as you're part of it.

well said and it needs to be written about over and over again

THANK GOD 'EVERYONE' IS NOT A PART OF THIS ONGOING, NON-RESISTENT, MAD CYCLE OF EXISTENCE...LIKE 'YOU' FOR INSTANCE. THANKS FOR A TIMELY, WELL EXPRESSED, 'WAKE UP' CALL. BLESSINGS.
