Lord give me the faith to stay afloat.

I Cannot Walk On Water
By Myrtle Poor

I cannot cross the river
The waves are rising high
The storms of life are raging
With their troubles and their strifes.

I cannot walk on water
For I know not how to swim,
But with my faith in Jesus
I can walk the waves with him

Christ stood upon the water
With his hands outstretched to me
He said, "Come on child,
You can walk upon the sea."

I cannot walk on water
For I know not how to swim,
But with my eyes on Jesus
I can walk the sea with Him.

The world is like a raging river
With its darkness and its strife.
Many times we find we're sighing
From the problems in this life.

Christ is our mighty anchor
In our raging storms of life.
So I will throw out my lifeline
And walk the seas of life.

Myrtle, you have such a way with words. This is so beautiful and if every person in the world had the same attitude about life and our Lord, it would be a wonderful world.

Myrtle I love this as I really hand my troubles over to our Heavenly Father and He guides me along a stressfree life. Even when the skys are dark and gloomy, I turn to Him and the sun automatically starts to shine. No I can't walk on water and I don't know how to swim, but as long as I have eyes on Jesus, I can walk along with Him. Thank you for sharing this is beautiful.

Newfie Hugs, Rose
