and all the clouds are abstract

whilst Crimson seeps out  hue,

my frail floral curtains

and sounds of birds outside my room

  A P A R T.

This poem is dedicated to my two eldest girls who live several hours North of me ....I am just home after spending 9 days visiting them (taking along my 11 year old daughter with me too) and now that I am back I find  I even miss them more than I did before I left...(perhaps I should have stayed home...'tain't fair! )Still, it was lovely catching up with them.

Also, guess what?

When I was there...I really missed YOU heaps too.

Can't wait to catch up on your poems.

I can certainly relate to this compelling write, Kay. One of my daughters recently moved to Toronto (I live on the west coast here) and the other one moved to Melbourne, Australia. Thank you for sharing. Love and best wishes,

So true!
We always miss the things we can't have for the time-being.
Instead of treasuring what we had and have.
Humans are so stupid sometimes, don't you think so???
Good write.

Oh, Kay.. the way you approach this longing is so effective, so beautifully poetic.. the curtains, the bit of sun.. I could feel myself there and could feel that yearning to have them with you.. This is such a human feeling and you've written it exactly as it truly is. I love this poem. katy xox.
