My love of the sea will never leave me. Each time I ride on a boat on Long Island sound, I feel a surge of energy, freedom, and exhilaration. The joy of bringing the cooler of beverages on the deck, the bronze suntan, laughter, and scent of the seafood and burgers in Port Jefferson, NY always makes me smile. The one thing for sure is that I always have time to say "thank you" to the friend, or should I say, "the fearless Captain" who gives the beautiful gift of spending a few hours at sea.
May St. Christopher, or the Saint of travel, keep all Captains safe. I smile as I think of the excitement of being on a boat, especially when the captain brings such pleasure to the trip, with a sense of protectiveness. May all boaters and captains be safe! You represent freedom and a hunger for adventure.
