This is one of the poems included in my novel!

 

ABORTED!
 
The long night ended
And daylight broke through-
You then descended
With colorful hue!
 
A beautiful pink
Then suddenly black-
With no way to think
Nor ever come back!
 
For life that was present
Now ceases to be-
Yes, incandescent,
But no light for me!
 
This secret won’t go
Away from my mind!
Its taunting is so
Destructive, not kind!
 
Someone!--I’m wanting!
Yet, please do not chide!
The daunting and haunting
No longer I’ll hide!
