THE NOTION
 
Where did you come from just now;
Somber thought above my brow?
Are you here for just a while-
Make me cry; or make me smile?
 
Yes, the notion...that life would
Or remotely even could
Bring me pleasure amid pain;
Letting love so fully reign!
 
Said in jest but oh, so true
Is this constant love for you-
Even though at times surreal,
Yet within my heart is still
 
A wheel that’s set in motion,
Each time I think-the notion!
