Writers and words.

What makes us slaves
until our fingers are sore
And our eyes begin to sway
forced to say "no More".

Of those rhyming words of sound
which in any language you will find
That you can turn and twist around
like little children make them mind.

Oh! These words we write
erase and throw into flight
Trying to convey sound and sight,
sorrow, hunger and delight

It's that we are trying to seek
an outlet for that inner me.
A window for the world to peep
into our hidden soul, for all to see.

Hi Ewell, the most beautiful thing about poetry is that we can share our feelings with the whole world and let people who read poetry to get inside of our souls.Poetry is like doing yoga.Instead of stretching our bodies,we stretch our minds and hearts so that our feelings can pour out onto the pages of a book.I enjoy reading your poem.take care of yourself
