Short and sweet
I try to retreat
From words just posted here
Short and merry
On the contrary
I am still filled with fear
Short and neat
So to defeat
All you righteous friends
Short and very
Very very merry
I am not a fairy
Nor do I cry
I laugh outloud
At my insanity
It is not allowed
Here you see
I must be strong
I must stable
For if I'm wrong
There will be no food on the table
Short and sweet
Swift and neat
It doesn't defeat
A thing
Still I sing
A song
A tune
So wrong
Before noon
After nine
When I can dine
Drink red wine
It all seems fine
Why are things set to certain hours
Why do we rely on heavenly powers
Why do look down on those who cowedr
Why do we take lunch breaks by the hour
I am confused
But seeded
With so many questions
Not to mention
Things I do with intention
Like hurt you
Skirt you
Flirt with you
Throw dirt at you
Is clever
At the moment
But wait
What I meant
Wasn't sent
To the right address
And that is why I confess
I am such a mess
If you recieved my letter today
I may or may not have been ok
This is just my way
Of saying HEY
I'm not ok
Leave me alone
Leave me be
Come back home
And comfort me
Fuck off
Go away
I laugh and scoff
Til I get my way
I giggle and grin
I cry and scream
And time and again
I play out this little scheme
That I really am ok
That I really am fine
That I really need today
To just to unwind
That I really am fine
THat I really don't need you
That I can walk the line
And I can still feed you
I can make the table
I can make the onions
I can make the roast
I can make you boast
About the sex we had last night
About the things that weren't alright
About the position we were in
About the things held in
And all the sin within
Short and sweet
So so neat
I retreat
And die
Not cry
Not I
Not today
Not this way
Not for you
Not for them
What do I do
THis lunacy to end
I want to scream
I want to shout
I don't even know what it's about
The luck
Of being as I am!!

Another in the "Amy" style that tells it like it is inside your head and heart and pulls no punches. You know you better then anyone else and that is how it should be.
