Starangel

Across an infinite sky...

The Starangel falls
from heaven
on iron wings.
Her eyes grow
wide with wonder
at the secret heart
of an untouched world.
At water's edge,
waves lap a greeting,
stirring the sand.
Winds invite
the visitor to linger
and recieve a moment
that shall not return.
Recovered at last,
the ancient song
of Eden entreats her
to abandon the void
lying beyond a fragile
shell of sky.
The offer is tempting,
but emptiness has a hold
the soul has yet to conquer.

Very nice! I did love the imagery. ;) Silver

PS: thank you for your comments. The piece you read/commented on came to me in its entire form in a dream. I see what you mean about it and certainly had some thoughts on that too, but figured I would write it as it came out in my dream instead. I will see if I can work on providing the alpha and omega on that story soon. ;) Silver
