The all-seeing-
self-powered-
guru-person
sits down to dinner
to feed with the
bottom-feeders,
The dark-hearted needers
who are so very, very needy--

He finds the feast to be
decidedly outta whack
lacking humble pie,
A platter full
of opulent consequence
and vehemence
though, was in rich supply

set before the holy man
by his indolgent peers
left-handed praise
congealed--
while the main course
stole the show;
a plate piled high
with gilded phrases, crow,
and vicious lemon-peppered
inuendo.

The Hangers-on
eyed each choice
the wise one made
confident that fate
lay somewhere
on the table
and soon would find
his plate.
