A Cyber-Phoenix Aria

To go where none have gone before
often means not coming back.

Shadows enfolding
primal mystery,
an event horizon
captures her prey--
I scream at the night
slowly distending
the jaws of a
universe at play--

Catch me I'm falling
somewhere, I'm calling
from a dim corner
of far, far away--
Where is the reason
I counted a legion.
Solitude's a bitch,
determined to stay--

A cyber-phoenix, reborn in ashes,
ignites as lightspeed comes undone.
who can resist the temptation
to reboot ad infinitum.

There's a blue ion haze
jazzing my circuits--
Quicksilver tears,
channel my mind--
My hard drive crashes
a dark sun's corona--
As iron wings break
the coils of time--

A cyber-phoenix, reborn in ashes,
ignites as lightspeed comes undone.
who can resist the temptation
to reboot ad infinitum.

What an incredible imagination!

i like what you've done with this. the idea of cyber-phoenix is very cyberpunk-ish, and the sci-fi thread that runs through this piece isn't lost on me...wonderful job!
