You need to look at the whole picture before you tell someone they should be thankful.
|
Don’t whisper, they can not hear you
Nor scream, for they simply will not care
Don’t smile prettily or act proper
Most of all do not cry, don’t you DARE
Wear your scars proudly
And never drop your head
Don’t hide behind hair or make up
Remember you should be happy, you aren’t dead
Live long enough to see them gone
Give the universe the “bird”
And always remember this simple fact
It’s better to kill with the written word

yes...you make a good point. words can be the most damaging weapon of all...which is why they should be used carefully...and effectively.
Enjoyed this write,

Very nice JoAnna, and very true here too. I have a similar poem called I'd Rather Die, and it is best to put those sentiments in words than slit your wrists. May the Lord be with yuo always, and at you side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & (((HUGS))), barbie
