In a heartfelt response to Todd’s last sonnet for her (FACT 16), Felicity pulls out all the stops.
|
Trains run on time though engines need fuel.
This lioness sad drowns out the blue rain.
But perhaps you mistake me for a fool,
inured to treachery, hot for the game.
Desirable victims dally and tease,
engender a tryst, and kiss to the death.
Our love will survive her last gasping pleas,
Play raven hoarse to her Lady Macbeth,
While here forever our fair fields will bloom.
I await your embrace, hot in the dark,
your sweet bud rose, a waft in the loom
of time; a floral scent in our theme park,
an impression of summer on your heart,
As Cynthia’s winds of winter depart.

Such determination! "A floral scent in our theme park, an impression of summer in your heart", these lines conjure up so many images and feelings that those "winds of winter" immediately take us to a place in the opposite direction.

AT THIS POINT, I AM AGREEING WHOLEHEARTEDLY WITH FELICITY; TODD NEEDS TO FINISH WHAT HE STARTED AND FOR PITY AND DECENCY'S SAKE...LEAVE CYNTHIA ALONE! CYNTHIA NEEDS TO COMPLETELY MEND AND CONTINUE TO GROW STRONG...TO KNOW THAT SHE CAN SURVIVE WITHOUT HIM. ALTHOUGH IT DOESN'T SEEM LIKE IT RIGHT NOW, TURNING HIS BACK COMPLETELY ON CYNTHIA WOULD BE A 'FAVOR' FOR ALL INVOLVED. WHAT I MEAN IS...ONE SHOULDN'T 'TOY' WITH A BROKEN VESSEL. THANKS FOR THE SHARE...I LOVE THESE!(SMILE). BLESSINGS AND FAITH...

| Sounds to me she is one sharp lady, and is out for business . . . er . . . playtime. |
