Giving Cynthia (the moon goddess) her Due, Todd responds to Felicity. How will Felicity deal with what seems to be Todd’s still-burning old flame?

What once was love was given over, gone
like mist beneath the white hot blazing sun,
but if I should her glance askance upon,
never mind speak ill of that loss once won,
or sever ever her rarest tether,
from the ball that serves hard my smitten heart,
it is yet uncertain as to whether
life would end or come to resemble art.
You may paint my corner quaintly cryptic.
You may play me for the gull I am known
to be.  You may mar my faith as Gnostic,
you may say my mind is blown or home-grown,
but free.  Let’s cling to our summer simmer,
as the goddess of the moon grows dimmer.

Jealousy, the green eyed monster
that it is will eat one up....You,
my friend *Roger* have it in your
heart to overcome with such wisdom!

Written with finesse, and, with flow and flavor finely formulated. "but if I should her glance askance upon," this tastes fresh, as well as "summer simmer". You are becoming more Shakespearean in these inventions friend. Your pertinacity (with this series) speaks volumes, to this reader, about the kind of man you are. Enjoyed ... richard

Love the tone here. The lost love carries a spark of itself as he asks of her to let the past dim with the glow of the goddess and just be themselves in their new found feelings.

OF COURSE, TODD HAS NOTHING BUT HIGH REGARDS FOR CYNTHIA...AND WHY SHOULDN'T HE? SO HE TELLS FELICITY TO LAY OFF OF CYNTHIA AND CEASE MENTIONING HER SO THAT HE CAN COMPLETELY FORGET OLD MEMORIES THAT ARE WANING. HE ASSURES FELICITY THAT HE IS COMMITTED TO THEIR
RELATIONSHIP...LIKE A BALL AND CHAIN.
