Authors note: this poem was inspired by Pucifer’s, indigo children

I open my eyes,

And I see darkness.

All around me.

Wrapping me up like a thick blanket.

Im suffocating,

In this darkness

My screams are stifled

As I try to escape.

But I can’t.

I kick and scream

But no one hears me.

They just keep on going

Like nothings wrong

Staring blankly ahead

Not blinking.

Like robots.

Doing what they’re told.

Am I going insane?

I run through the darkness,

Blind,

Feeling for the walls that I know do not exist

Stumbling,

Im lost.

In this darkness

With no way out.

Must this be my fate?

I pray to god its not.
