How Deep The Pain Goes Quiet, After

               DAWNING

       Flame high, tall candle
            pour sweet wine...

shy love that burns to drink
taps gently at the door --

       till with the night
       harsh, cold, and clear

       she enters in...

       like light of moon, flows
       softly through the room

       to warm her hands,
                  undo her hair.
