Do you have a special, safe place?

A City of Refuge
Joyce McDonald Hoskins
I have read where, in ancient times in the land of Canaan, cities of refuge were strategically placed so a person could reach one in no less than a half day. We all need a city of refuge. Perhaps yours is a special room in your home, a place in your garden, a favorite walk, or a serene place in your community. It could even be a wise, trusted person.
The roads to the cities were inspected and repaired yearly so no fleeing person would be delayed, overtaken and slain. Your personal city of refuge should be reevaluated daily to be sure it remains your secure safe place so you will not be overtaken and defeated.

Ahhhh, a safe haven of sorts, oh yes. A heavenly place where burdens are left behind, a place where the soul can heal....
Be always safe,
Karen |
