A Quiet Lagoon

Become a Fan

Craving a retreat.

Needing rest, renewing my soul.

A quiet lagoon...

Floating in the salty, blue water,

the sun shining on my face-

caressing it and kissing it.

Tiny fish swimming along my side

nibbling and tugging at my fingers-

playfully.

Time slows, becomes

non-existent.

My spirit soars

like the birds flying above.

Quiet-only the ripples of the water

in their gentle cadence

and the soft beating of my heart.
