Reflections of Olympics

The Olympics show we CAN live in peace.

 World united and peace prevails

Cheers for talented competitors

Courage and perseverance rewarded

Sports event?

Maybe- yet so much more

World as one

Respect for others

Respect for all cultures

Wishing this could last

each day

Each moment

We CAN come together!

We CAN live in peace!

The moment is now!

The time is now!

Each one sacred

Each one holy

If only politics could be as civil as sports.

It is strange that the Olympics shows us peaceful, fair competition, while in the background, countries like China build vast armies and armaments for “defense.” If everyone abandoned the idea of defense, there would be no offense.

The Olympics should be a learning platform for the rest of mankind. Sad that we can't learn from them .... God help us all! Great poem, Cindy! Well done!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Texas, Karen Lynn. :D

I have to agree. The world will probably never be one.
Unfortunately.

Dear Cindy,

I feel different. This world is not one.
Read my new poem, "The Olympic Downhill Hopeful is Up!"

Yours in the love of Christ,

John
