There is a time to grow old –
when you've grown into the
mirror's pallor in the autumn
light of morning, and
something parasitic,
microscopic, has
won you as its host,
is only, like you,
attempting to survive.
The time to grow old
is the same as the time
to grow young,
as when a child
you said yes
to a candy.

Well you've given me pause for reflection here, Julie. Thank you. You know that I am in serious denial about growing up never mind about growing old. :) Love and best wishes,
Regis |
