going home

If the point is indeed to get home,
Then, I do so desperately desire
To get there
Where
I can feel at ease
Where
I really don’t have to be alone
Anymore

I know that the only way for me to get there
Is with those sacred
Ruby
Red
Shoes
Oh, if I could just click those heels
One
Two
Three times…

I realize what I knew a long time before,
I am
In Kansas
But, I don’t want to be here
Anymore

lovely bit of work here...great spin on the coming home theme. Everyone I belive, has had this feeling...the desire to return home... perhaps for a short visit, perhaps longer. Another aspect I like in this piece is the metaphoric angle...as much as this could be a homecoming piece, it can also be read as wanting a change of another kind. You handled this well.
