Mid-day Star

This poem explains how delicate life is and stresses how important it is to value the simple concepts that allow us to live, such as the sun: Our Mid-day Star.

A midst an eddy of opal and sapphire
Forth comes the radiant light of life,
The fulcrum at which events transpire.
Who has the gall to disclaim the supremacy
Of the midday star?

Pure blasphemy to discern such secular judgments.
Bow down in silent prayer, silent hope
such light should never fail
to shine iridescently,
to forever transcend the limits of life
for if such inimitable light should cease to burn
All life would imminently end.
