Ballerina

Away from you
I’m like a ballerina rotating alone
Locked in her velvet music box
Dancing to the moonlight tune

Away from you
I sit here in silence,
Just thinking of you
Holding my breath
For the next kiss
That will revive our tune

Away from you
I'm suffocating with tears
Longing to reach out and touch you
When my hand touches the empty air
My hand falls
My heart breaks and dreams
That the next time I reach out
You’ll be there
To hold me
And we dance together
To the moonlight tune

Aaah!! Now I get it!! I have just come from Peter's page and your collaboration is delightful - NO WONDER!! Great to get a glimpse of the Muse at work and love this the inspiration, doubtless, behind the joint work. Delicate as the dance of love itself, Huda. Bless you, Kate xx

I really recognise that sensation of feeling in storage until "they" return. That's a very cool poem.

Loved this analogy, really brilliant, that first verse especially, and the suffocating at the end makes me think of the boxed closed on the ballerina, good work.
