It happens every now and then
At times when I pick up my pen
And let my thoughts most freely roam
Intent on writing out a poem.
Once I've written twenty lines
And run into a few land mines
My screen goes blank. I'm at a loss
I've found a bridge I can not cross.
It seems as though my hard drive balks
I'm at a loss. I'm in a box.
My hardware's out to get my goat.
I should have backed up what I wrote.
Backup, backup, backup,
Backup, backup, backup.
