Uncondition mine eyes again
like new dawn that awakes this broken world.

Clean my hands so I can hold
unshackle the burdens that my feet
will wear so I can walk again.

Keep me from the eyes of my enemies
and I put my faith in you.

Verily, verily keep thine eyes upon me
as to the sparrow and all things I behold
not knowing you is darkness of discontent.

One candle in the window
and I will be free to see
the light through my legacy
to the darkness of tomorrow.

So far in the distance, yet I see the candle
you have lit for me ever so close to you.

When you uncondition me
moving swiftly when I abide.
I feel you in my hand stretched out
to help light every window on the way home.
