| God blew the breath of life in us at creation and He dwells in every heart that is pure and open to His love; and God's love died and rose at Calvary and was renewed in our hearts. And the world will know we are Christians' by our love, and love is boundless, universal, and eternal. Thank you Stacey for reminding us that Christ lives in us. |

Nice poem, Stacey. I don`t know where I would be if Jesus did not love me as His own! Since God is love, then He must love all that He has created. That is comforting!
God Bless

“Life is a conflict…an incessant, merciless battle between the spirit and the flesh breaks out in every one…The stronger the soul and the flesh the more fruitful the struggle and richer the final harmony .The spirit wants to have to wrestle with the flesh ...It' s a carnivorous bird which is incessantly hungry: It eats flesh and by assimilating it makes it disappear!
This was the ascent taken by Christ, the ascent which he invites us to take as well, following in his bloody tracks…Every Xmas is a reminder of his standing invitation and every New year beckons us to set out for the lofty peak which he has ascended.
He tells us not to fear pain, temptation or death- because all three can be conquered, all three have already been conquered. Christ suffered pain and since then pain has been sanctified. Temptation fought until the very last moment to lead him astray and it was subdued. Christ died on the cross and at that instant death was vanquished forever.
Every obstacle in his journey became a milestone, an occasion for further triumph. To the man who struggles –He is the supreme model –irrespective of caste creed or religion. His message is Universal.
Ø We struggle, we see him struggle also, and we find strength. We see that we are not alone in the world: He is fighting at our side.”
Christ, Cross, Xmas, and the Gospel are only symbols: Every crusader is a Christ, every good cause is a Cross and all words spoken for the good forms the Gospel. When you resolve to stand for a good cause you are reborn as a Christ with a Cross on your shoulder and a Gospel in your mouth and your spirit rejoice at the ‘advent of a Christmas’.
