This is the Heart not the Poem - 2009
|
Back in the days of Indians
and Pilgrims, a precedent was
set. They came together at feast
and thanked God for New Life
with New Friends under the sun.
Thanking God for His Abundant
LOVE!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!
Today we retreat to remember
those days gone by...
so let us be remindful of the
difference (or was it?) in these
days. People are hungry,
therefore, if you have left overs
find a homeless family, put a smile
on some hungry family's face.

| Amen, it is better to give then to receive. I volunteer in a food ministry on a weekly basis, I always come home with a SPIRITUALY FILLED feeling. I love seeing the families leave with happiness, because we have help in their needs. The best part is giving a little candy or cookies to a small child who would otherwise be without. Children can not understand the suffering in this world, while they are small, we should do our best to prevent their suffering. |
