I searched inside to try and find the beauty Was it my hips and thighs? Or my adolescent mind? My nappy hair or my gorgeous eyes? My cocoa chocolate skin? Do you really know the woman within? My life, my troubles . . . my insecurities I have searched inside to try and find what lies within my adolescent mind. My inner beauty and strength is tested with your silly reservations about who I should be Not me . . . a figment of my inner self A shadow . . . a whim . . . a fallacy But not the me that I should be I have searched inside to try and find what lies within my adolescent mind and I�ve discovered my true self . . .
