(c) Brittany Renee 2008

--

Crystallized dreams wake in dew
the stars have fallen with fragrant hues.
Watching them glisten as if hanged,
but on your skin, they dance; remain.

Opalescent dust inhaled by amour
the moonlight within your body’s couture.
Savoring lulls of midnight serenade.
Quiet slumber of love’s masquerade.

Empyrean radiance cast from divine
breath of the gods, unjust paradigm.
Feeling the zephyr, finest of threads
gossamer stars with satin, wed.

Fall of cinder in midnight’s hearth
diffuse an incense but you are worth.
Dawn of a heaven, as eyelids confess,
opening embers of the celestial caress.

To me, this poem sounds like the ethereal touch of the Gods. Lot of thoughts in this poem that could be interpreted differently--depending on the reader.
