Over Fifty

This poem is how a person feels when he/she reaches fifty years of age.

In this world of the young and fit, we never dream about losing abilities and just having to sit.

It causes great grief to realize that as we get over fifty, it not only means getting wiser, but this body continues to break down and we tend to become misers.

When I was young, Heaven was just a crown, but now as I am over fifty, it is a place that I know I will be found.

The only consolation for this granny over fifty is her grandchildren, who are quite nifty!

Over 50...and I have found my life is less stressful, my faith stronger and my views softer!
Thank the Lord for every day.

Well, age is just a number they say, and I would have to agree. I have some health conditions that make me feel like this at 38, so i can relate though not 50, lol. By the way- you look GREAT!!

Age is a state of mind, my life seems to have just begun at the age of 50 and 3 months now. Of course there are the aches and pains, but I had them at 30, now I am waiting on the wisdom to arrive ;^}. Warmth and Love to you.

People say that "Before fifty you go up the hill; after fifty you begin to come downhill" - but I think nowadays being 50 is a golden age, many people at fifty are very strong and healthy.
