Footprints in the Snow

We are like footprints in the snow.

Footprints in the Snow

I trek through the snow
And look after me.
My footprints follow close behind,
Yet only for a little while.
The sun's warmth soon will find them,
And they shall fade from earth forever.
I, too, am but a footprint in the snow.
One day God's warmth will find me,
And I shall fade from earth forever.

Well said. Few things as impermanent as we are. Very nice.

David,

Terrific metaphor. We shall all fade forever one day just like that footprint.
