WHISPERS IN THE WIND
I walked out into the meadow
carrying my secret cross of old
I knew I could find you there
amidst the hues of amber and gold
My heart upon my sleeve
sleepless lines on my face
My knees barely touching the ground
when all at once You came to me
in this sacred place
Strands of light through the trees glimmering
A million diamonds dancing on the stream shimmering
And I knew it was You
All of it, You
You're so good to me
Then You spoke to me
Whispers in the wind
telling my heart what it already knew
In this lifetime, Love and Anguish
they are passionately One
This is a precious gift
to be nourished only by the rain
within your eyes the Well is boundless, deep and wide
It is the harvest of the pain
that one day will bear much fruit for you on the other side
I felt Your caress then
out in the Meadow
willing me to cry
Lifting my gaze up toward the vastness of Your sky
I promised You
These tears shall never run dry
