I had a happy yet painful dream...

Was he trying to tell me something...?

He came to me across the yard running,

While I was outside myself sunning,

Into my arms he jumped,

Long red tongue kissing me,

He was a beautiful as ever,

His fur never in a clump...

I fed him and brushed his long fur,

He talked to me without a slur,

His words in doggy talk, still clear,

I whispered how much I loved him into his ear...

We played for an hour,

Then he had to go,

Tears I awoke with, I miss him so,

He told me he'd stop back,

Strong feelings for him I do not lack,

Have a good life, Rufuz, I love you so...

They always let us know Ed, they have an innate knowing compared to us. Bless you and I know and empathize with how you feel.

It's too bad dogs have a relatively short life. I guess it's because they pack so much love into it. Patrick

I still have dreams about my cat Buddy, who was by my side for 20 years. And I often still hear him calling to me in the house. If he's not waiting for me in Heaven, I wanna go wherever he went.

I know how you feel, Ed. I miss my Cajun, but she hasn't come back to me excepting in a dream from time to time; what I wouldn't give to have her back ... she was my best friend! Strong feelings; may you never lose memories of Rufuz; he truly was a special friend in more ways than people may ever realize!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Texas, Karen Lynn. :(
