Losing a dear friend...

That would be him on the right in better times...

Prayers would be appreciated, thanks...

Much older was he,

Than me,

A couple of weeks ago I did of him see,

Such a vibrant man he was in his prime,

God did finally take him, it was his time…

He was my friend Barbara’s dad,

I know she is probably right now quite sad,

And I won’t say that he is “better” off,

With that statement I always did scoff…

Such a headache today I did have,

Not even three Tylenol were a relief salve,

I usually don’t feel this badly when someone passes,

But this gentleman was a special good friend,

I will miss him greatly till comes my time,

In this short life to end…

Ever so often, Ed, someone leaves us and we don't know quite how to go about grieving for them. You did good. Poetry is your forte. He is proud, buddy,
