Most folks are just too busy to be polite these days. Taking time out to say "Hello" to the neighbor next door is getting to be a thing of the past. What will it be like five years from now? Are we all headed south? Have morals gone out of style? Even at some church buffets you feel the pushes and shoves from folks like your in a busy train station line-up during rush hour. What can we say? "Father forgive them for they know not what they do?" It's better to serve others first and get on the line last. It's great to serve all the time! Now please enjoy the poem. Thank you!

The "Please" and "Thank You" Poem

"Please," is what you say

when it's not going your way.

Holding the door” is what you do

so you don't slam it on

the person behind you.

Thank you" is how you express

  gratitude for kindness.

"Please excuse me" are the right words to shout,

when your in a busy place and need to get out.

A hug is a gentle way.

to "love" someone

when you just don't

know what to say.

Amen!

Sadly, I see far more self-centered people today than ever before, they no longer even notice the plight of others around them. 'What's in it for me?' seems to be the modern day mantra, even among our young children, and if we can't benefit someway, we simply push others out of our way.

It's sadly true that far too many just don't take the time for politeness anymore...loved your title, John! And the poem was very sweet....with a powerful message!
