Inspired by a CD I recorded of "God Must Be a Cowboy at Heart" for Ralph Larson's Memorial Service. R.I.P. Ralph and Chris LeDoux.

Photeau (c)2012/duke larance

Boss, thank You kindly for this day
I pray I’ll have another
A cup of joe to taste the sunrise
To drift off with sunset color

Thank you kindly for my hoss and mutt
I could not have better friends
I pray they will be with me
When I head for Trail’s End

I will never, ever figure
Why You have put up with me
But thank You kindly just the same
For the life I live so free
