Here on an Earth that has been torn,
Some are wishing they were never born.
Mother's crying from within, because there is no food for the table,
Trying to open that last can, that has no label.
We have a President, that wants to go to war,
While a sniper is killing, so we are forced to close our doors.
STOP!!! IS THIS POETRY? OR IS THIS REALITY?
The human race is dying, and many just don't care,
So we play it off, but deep down we know we are scared!
Children, hating the days that they wake up,
While many are standing on the street corners, begging with a tin cup.
Let's not talk about how many have lost their jobs,
It's behind the Fat CEO's stealing our money, the stupid slobs.
STOP!!!! IS THIS POETRY? OR IS THIS REALITY?
Sometimes I just can't wait to rest my head,
Because time is running out, before we are all dead!
What happened to the world that I once knew?
Where you had the power of freedom to choose!
How long are we going to keep playing this game?
Before we realize this is the generation of shame!
How many are out there, just waiting to Kill?
While the Congress says: We have it under control, just chill!
STOP!!!! IS THIS POETRY? OR IS THIS REALITY?
We are living in fantasy, if you think this is all just going to go away,
Just keep ignoring what is going on, we won't have to worry about living another day.
We have the Internet, to where hacker's are stealing the Author's life's work,
What happened to the honesty in writing your own book?
And God forbid, if you lost your job, and became poor,
Try being homeless, you are not considered in the human race anymore.
The music that we all listen to has words that we refuse to hear when it plays,
Just like a Poem, How many really understand what it has to say?
STOP!!!! IS THIS POETRY? OR IS THIS REALITY?

Christine, what a wonderfully eloquent
offering to the world. Your premise is true
and the fire is in your heart. But we feel
helpless against the forces at work in the
world. We haven't even seen the beginning
of what is going to happen. We have no
chance. It is only a matter of time. Our
enemies are too real and too strong and can
hide wherever they please. What will
happen ... you know and I know ... doesn't
President Bush know? I think not, but I
pray that I am wrong. Again ... this was
excellent! I hope people understand why you
wrote this. But only the living are scared
right? Jesus said, "Let the dead bury the
dead." And I will. I most certainly will.
WAKE UP AMERICA AND LET'S FIND A WAY TO
LIVE AND LOVE. God bless and keep you
dear. Bill
