You have the knack, Preston. Outstanding story that held my attention all the way through.

This was utterly fantastic. Well written about so called slaves and subordinates, and your last line clinches the whole thing. Beautiful Mary

I really like this-it really emphasises how needlessly judgemental we can all be about the slightest physical flaws. It's sad to think how full of regret this character is. The only 'flaw' I see in the poem is in the last line, I'm sure 'the way the did' should read 'the way she did'.

Preston, This is a fine and very thoughtful and thought provoking point of view laced with real feeling, a sense of detachment and subtle humour...stanzas 7-10 particularly striking and powerful. I enjoyed this very much. Bravo! John
