Dying For Attention (Book) - 11/8/2007 5:48:33 PM
Melody, you are obviously a gifted writer. And very productive! I see that some of your work is published by a firm that is the victim of numerous negative comments. I know personally one author who used their services and he did very well, so I'm wondering if the complainers have real concerns or are they venting just because they haven't sold as many books as some others? I'm interested because I was searching for a publisher. Like you, I've used PublishAmerica, and some others, but the one I delibereately have not named has great advertising. Do they follow through? Perhaps you'd rather not respond, and that's okay. But if you feel open to advising me, my email is vsp333.comcast.net. (See my stuff . Authorsden. Thanks. Mike Gibbs

Shadow of Death (Book) - 11/9/2003 8:18:48 AM
The author certainly did her research in the legal/investigative arena before writing this book. The events COULD have happened. As must occur in suspense novels, bad things happen to good people, but justice prevails. And the identity of the perpetrator took me by surprise, but the clues are there. Short chapters make it easy to put the book down if needed, but you will likely not want to do that.

Avenging Sword (Book) - 8/6/2003 10:08:58 AM
Melody Ravert's writing is fantastic. She really knows how to build suspense, and carry a story with characters that you grow to love and care about. Her writing style is fun to read, and the dialogue is great! She definitely knows how to create an exciting story!

Obsessive Behavior-E-Book (Book) - 7/24/2003 8:08:48 AM
Obsessive Behavior seems to be chillingly accurate in the likely perspective of an obsesssive stalker. Ms. Ravert has exhibited much talent in her other books, but this one seems to call for an exceptional writer who is able to skillfully direct her reader's attention to the feelings of her characters as the plot develops. Well done, Ms. Ravert!

Avenging Sword (Book) - 7/24/2003 7:58:55 AM
This story has been written to capture all of the challenges and poignancy that surrounds us in today's world, while keeping alive the eternal spark of hope that is so necessary for survival. It is a wonderfully well written story with a real feel for the freshness that readers are looking for. A great read!

Avenging Sword (Book) - 7/24/2003 5:28:11 AM
Mrs. Ravert captures the struggle of today’s youth and their need for acceptance even at the expense of joining gangs known for their brutality and sensless killings. Yet God’s word can meet you where you are and his forgiveness is available to us all. He can also provide a way out of no way. One can always seek refuge in the Word especially in times of crisis.

Avenging Sword (Book) - 7/22/2003 6:29:28 PM
The story is very gripping. Emergency room scenes are very good. I like your first sentence -a qoute from Bible

Avenging Sword (Book) - 7/21/2003 6:49:26 PM
This Story has a little of something for anyone. A little mystery, a little reflection on and of ourselves as people making it through life, which is not always as sweet a smelling rose as we wish it could be. Ms. Ravert has done it again..

Shadow of Death (Book) - 1/28/2003 4:27:19 AM
Everyone loves a good mystery, but when it mirrors the turmoil of real-life situations and emotions, the heart is truly gripped. This is such a tale. Does good always prevail over evil in society’s world of law? Can one even recognize that evil? Where does that deep-down inspiration to find the truth come from? Read Shadow of Death and that becomes clear. A must read for mystery lovers!

What If Jesus Had Not Been Born? (Short Story) - 11/23/2009 9:33:01 AM
You sure captured the atmosphere of a gloomy christmas. I kept visualizing the color gray while reading this. A true reflection of what may become a reality. Good job.

thought provoking article

What If Jesus Had Not Been Born? (Short Story) - 12/10/2007 12:05:20 PM
Hi Melody: I respect your belief. I do not share it. Your well written tale shows life without Christ in your mind, but only in your mind. However, many of us are content without that belief - can you accommodate the fact that so many of us reject Christ and seek the truth elsewhere? Can you accept the possibility that Christ is an unproven myth? (Sorry for the tautology!). Can you accept a person of another faith thanking Gaaia or Odin or Buddha or Mohammed or whatever for the bread on his/her table? Those persons share your method of belief/faith and differ only in their choice of god. I wish you and all good people, Christian or not, well. Keith

What If Jesus Had Not Been Born? (Short Story) - 12/10/2003 8:02:10 AM
Hello Melody, Thanks for giving your piece for me to read here today. It has a particular interest in a way for me just now because I have just started writing the life (just my version) of Jesus. Before I pull you too far thinking one thing I had better be straight and say that I am maybe one of the people you have concerns about; in as much as I believe with a perfect faith... but that there is no God. My school background is Church of England, I now live in Sussex, but my mother's side of the family are Jewish. I liked your piece and I want my writing to try and find the real Jesus; see the sort of pressures and concerns he had to face in his twenties perhaps... was he desperate to escape his dad's carpentery business. I would love to know what a typical day for him envolved before he started to get well known. Thanks again Melody, Mark Phillips.............

What If Jesus Had Not Been Born? (Short Story) - 9/17/2003 12:53:43 PM
(((melody))) thank God Jesus WAS born...although many people are still angry, hateful and bitter we just have to show them the love of Christ thanks for the reminder (((HUGS))) and love, karla. :) *saving this to my library*

Lord and Creator of All (Article) - 4/21/2006 10:00:12 AM
Mel: What a beautiful, heartfelt work of art! If there ever were a "God-believing" family on this earth, it would be yours. I see in you & Tim a wonderful image of Christ's love between 2 people, a wonderful role model for all us married folks, & I truly don't think there could be more devoted, genuinely involved parents. Your faith is so constant, peaceful &, even amidst horrible trials, unwavering. You're an inspiration -- God's love shows through you. You, your daughter, & Tim are in my daily prayers. If we lift our voices singularly, He hears us & smiles. If we lift our voices in unison, He hears us . . . & He smiles even broader. Love & blessings -- Linda

Life's Choices (Article) - 10/14/2004 7:47:19 PM
An excellent article that does not only serve Christians but people from all religions including atheists. The article stresses we have free choice and therefore we have responsibility for our choices. We should not seek to blaim others we should rather take responsibility ourselves as is implied in the article. An excellent work Melody :)

Life's Choices (Article) - 10/14/2004 5:57:55 PM
This article is very well written. I like it. It's something that makes you stop and think about just what choices a person is faced with in their lives. Grandted not all choices are major ones. However, you do have to make the big choices. Knowing God is there with you helps. You'll know in your heart what the choice you make should be.

The Sounds of Christmas: A Message of Hope (Poetry) - 11/21/2008 6:48:29 AM
Christmas takes time each year to get here. Preparations take time, but it is the real reason for the season to celebrate, and that is God's special Gift, his son to save us from our sins. Enjoy the christmas season but remember others are needful too and don't try to outdo others, Just be sensible in your celebrations. Give some people breaks and they;ll thank you for it.
