Humility (Short Story) - 2/3/2013 11:54:23 AM
A few of us have noticed there is another poetess here who likes to steal your ideas. I'm not surprised, you're very good. So yes a compliment to you even though it isn't her intent we're sure. Di

Humility (Short Story) - 2/3/2013 4:38:02 AM
To (have to) steal ideas from others is childish, pathetic and unworthy for someone who calls him or herself a writer. Or maybe I have to turn it around, in that case you're unworthy to use the name writer. Although it's a compliment when others steal your ideas I hope that your beautiful and original ideas are spared from being copied by others. and I hope this article will be read by those who lower themselves to do this. Good that you denounce this subject Carol

Humility (Short Story) - 2/3/2013 4:33:44 AM

Humility (Short Story) - 2/2/2013 6:23:50 PM
I hope no one has stolen from your beautiful poetry...

Humility (Short Story) - 2/2/2013 2:49:19 PM
Okay. Something has happened to cause you to pen this "short story." I'll not inquire what that something may have been, I shall only say write what you know, and if they steal from you they have stolen a part of you, but the best part of you is the part they do not, and never will, know. I've been fortunate in that I have never seen anyone with the slightest bit of my writing in their posts. It could be the writing thieves find nothing of mine worth the theft of, in that case I can smile and say . . . "Good."

I like Diana's comment; you do have a way of adding that extra sense to it.

Rhythm of my Heart (Poetry) - 5/30/2013 6:50:16 AM
There is a consistent flare you have for giving us words of the 'senses,' Lily. Most of your poetry is filled with sound, scent, touch, taste, and that sixth sense 'awareness.' It is a joy to read these sensations. 'Rhythm of my Heart' contains a line I find to be glorious: "A glow of soundless words spoken within." That is so big that it could be the answer to the whole of seeing joy in life. The "words spoken within" can glow even in the dark if we let them. Thank you for this thought, I love it. ~~ Diana

Rhythm of my Heart (Poetry) - 5/29/2013 6:09:50 AM

Desire within (Poetry) - 5/14/2013 8:17:31 AM
Ahhh . . . This so reminds me of the British television drama series "Upstairs, Downstairs." Although I seem to remember there was some physical contact between the highbrow and the servants. This was done especially well, Carol.

A Mother's Day Gift (Poetry) - 5/13/2013 10:39:06 AM
"and your seed is a song of love" - such is the true definition of Mother in every sense of the word. May every child of whatever age and state of maturity be gifted with such a champion and comforter as I believe we have become a world of motherless children, largely (judging by our behaviour). And may every 'motherless ancient' have a child/junior who can be to them the mother/father to the (wo)man. Motherhood in many capacities is a gift that all are hungry for. xx

~Lily~ Romantic story of a broken heart. Rich in details and mystery. Etched into her back ~ the shape of a locket that once held her love's picture. Lady Mary Ann

The Cottage (Poetry) - 4/21/2013 12:01:40 PM

The Cottage (Poetry) - 4/21/2013 11:27:48 AM
A story told is worth telling thrice. This is very good, Carol, very good indeed. Poem stories are most endeared to my heart and soul. This is a pure delight, strong images and places where the imagination can fly at will. "Suicide? No, not suicide just look under her what’s etched into her back, I’ve never seen anything like it" There must be another one in the offering unless what is etched into her back is in this poem, and I can't find it.

Rains Heartbeat (Poetry) - 4/19/2013 11:42:00 AM
Strong images of the power of the storm and the comfort of being in someone else's arms. Sometimes I wish for a tin roof so I can hear the full effect of the rain on it. Ron

Rains Heartbeat (Poetry) - 4/19/2013 5:22:38 AM
Carolee, you've done an excellent job of opening the doors of our imagination...Your poem reminds me of a short story written by Ernest Hemingway, titled "A Clean and Well Lighted Place" written while he was in Spain...your reference to the waiters with glances to the 'two'...Nice work. Cheers, Dan

Rains Heartbeat (Poetry) - 4/19/2013 2:55:38 AM
Was it all a dream, a beautiful dream?!?! Not all as it ends up with a tender romantic moment when she, very caring, pulls up the sheets and brushes a wisp of hair from his forehead. Beautiful and romantic Carol

This had me going, in fact it surprised me going from the room with the tables to her bedroom so quickly, I thought the woman must have been dreaming. Whatever! I may have been confused about that, but I wasn't confused about how you managed to make the words flow in a romantic and real-time love affair.

Umbrellas of love (Poetry) - 4/18/2013 7:07:30 AM
Another romantic poem from the top poetrese of AD. Your words fall softly and gently on those who look for a romantic interlude wanting to be loved and sharing their life with someone who can give what the other needs. Knowing there are no guarantees and that love is a commitment between two hearts that beat as one... Love, Deborah

yes a beautiful walk among natures gift budd

Umbrellas of love (Poetry) - 4/16/2013 11:20:24 PM
Wonderful use of the ever changing nature of dandelion, Lily. It doesn't exist at once. Only the Nature's elements (air, sun, water, earth) can poor themselves into a dandelion, following (knowing) the pattern imprinted in the seeds. So is the music, the pattern's written in the score...becomes sound of song, or/and instrumental play...by performance. So is human living, action. We never have the whole thing at once...can pick up only a little portion of...performance, like love....the rest becoming, well... memory...that can be poor together......when with nature..... Everything is a performance.

Umbrellas of love (Poetry) - 4/16/2013 6:25:50 PM
Such a bittersweet sentiment........ah, love! A soul warmer for sure. Love ya! Jane
